Visit Exotic Animals At The Maryland Zoo

From giraffes and crocodiles to penguins and polar bears, you'll find it all at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore. Celebrating 140 years, this popular attraction is one of the country's oldest zoological parks and is home to over 2,000 different animals housed in naturalistic habitats on its 135 acres of parkland. Visit the brand new African penguin exhibit or check out the elephant barn. Feed the giraffes and interact with wildlife at daily animal encounters. Enjoy a guided behind the scenes tour or stop by the Goat Corral to brush African Pygmy and Nubian goats.Dine at the Whistle Stop Grille and pick up souvenirs at the Wild Things gift shop. Animal adventures await at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore.

Admission is $18 adults, $15 seniors (65+), $14 children (2-11). Kids under age 2 enter free.
 

Hours -

Open daily from 10am-4pm (March-December); 10am-4pm, Friday-Monday (January & February).

  • Does the Maryland Zoo offer a shuttle service?

    Yes, the Maryland Zoo offers free shuttles from the parking area to the center of the zoo. All zoo shuttles are accessible and designed to accommodate wheelchairs and strollers. There are no shuttles within the zoo, however visitors can rent non-motorized wheelchairs and strollers at the Wild Things Gift Shop, located at the zoo's main entrance. 
  • What kind of Rides & Activities does the Maryland zoo have?

    More than just a park filled with animals, you'll find plenty of other fun things to do at the Maryland Zoo. Get your face painted like your favorite animal or take a ride on the Carousel. And hop aboard the Zephyr Train for a one-mile trip from the Farmyard, past the African Journey and through the beautiful Jones Falls Watershed.
